Join us for the first Grateful Dead Night of the year on the second floor main venue space at Cosmic Arts, featuring full access to the balcony and balcony lounge for dancing, lounging, and taking in the show from above.
The night kicks off with Second Breakfast, an acoustic Grateful Dead duo described simply as βtwo Deadheads with guitars.β Stripped-down, soulful, and full of rock-and-roll energy, Second Breakfast delivers heartfelt acoustic takes on Dead classics that set the perfect tone for the night β intimate, loose, and rooted in love for the music.
Headlining the evening is Ripplewood, a powerhouse collective of seasoned musicians from the East Coast jam band scene. Drawing inspiration from the spirit of the Grateful Dead while forging a sound of their own, Ripplewood blends deep improvisation, soulful songwriting, and expansive grooves into a live show built for movement and connection. Expect extended jams, rich textures, and moments that feel spontaneous and alive.
Frontman James Dalton leads with expressive vocals, guitar, mandolin, and harmonica, backed by a dual-drummer lineup featuring Daniel Albi and Abe Speller, creating a thick, driving rhythmic foundation. Jazz-infused keys from David Dzubinski, boundary-pushing guitar work from Robert Musso, and the deep, exploratory bass lines of Jair-Rohm Parker Wells anchor the sound, rounded out by Sammy Flickerβs soulful harmonies and vibrant stage presence.
